TITLE: COOK
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Demonstrate aptitude or competence for
assigned responsibilities.
2. Must be capable of physical labor and meet
all qualifications as set forth in the attached
physical job description.
3. Demonstrate a cheerful attitude, good personal
hygiene and ability to work.
4. Fulfill requirements for promptness and good
attendance habits.
5. Demonstrate good work habits and effective use
of time.
6. Such alternatives to the above as the
administration may find appropriate and
acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Child Nutrition Site Supervisor
EVALUATED BY: Child Nutrition Site Supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 164/166 day contract.
Salary to be determined as per ESPO Master
Contract.
JOB GOAL: To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals
in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and warmth.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.

Assumes responsibility for seeing to it that during meal service periods the supply of food is replenished regularly.

Assists in the daily cleanup of the kitchen and service area.

Performs major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the cook.

Assumes responsibility for storage and disposal of unused food.

Performs such other cafeteria duties as prescribed by the Director of Child Nutrition and/or Child Nutrition Site Supervisor.
