JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE:           Technology Specialist 

F.L.S.A.         Exempt       

QUALIFICATIONS:              

• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are advantageous.
• Proficiency in working with ticketing systems for tracking and resolving technology issues.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server, Windows, and ChromeOS support.
• Ability to work with and troubleshoot remote workstations effectively.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting printing-related issues.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. up to a height of 4 feet occasionally. 
• Good oral and written communication skills                                                                                            

REPORTS TO:             Director of Technology  

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:    Twelve month (232 days) with benefits provided according to Classified Agreement.         

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Collaborate effectively with users and technology staff to resolve technology tickets, demonstrating strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Research new issues as they arise and implement timely resolutions, staying updated with emerging technologies and trends.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes and procedures for common technology tasks to facilitate user understanding and self-help.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot computer issues related to hardware, software, server, and network, ensuring minimal disruption to teaching and learning.

• Provide exceptional customer service, displaying patience and empathy when assisting users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
• Stay abreast of technology trends and innovations in the education sector, actively seeking opportunities to integrate new technologies to support teaching and learning.
