JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Technology Specialist
F.L.S.A. Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are advantageous.
- Proficiency in working with ticketing systems for tracking and resolving technology issues.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, Windows, and ChromeOS support.
- Ability to work with and troubleshoot remote workstations effectively.
- Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting printing-related issues.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. up to a height of 4 feet occasionally.
- Good oral and written communication skills
REPORTS TO: Director of Technology
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month (232 days) with benefits provided according to Classified Agreement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate effectively with users and technology staff to resolve technology tickets, demonstrating strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Research new issues as they arise and implement timely resolutions, staying updated with emerging technologies and trends.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes and procedures for common technology tasks to facilitate user understanding and self-help.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot computer issues related to hardware, software, server, and network, ensuring minimal disruption to teaching and learning.

- Provide exceptional customer service, displaying patience and empathy when assisting users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Stay abreast of technology trends and innovations in the education sector, actively seeking opportunities to integrate new technologies to support teaching and learning.
